The WFTAK project team has created a data conversion server. This allows external location and mapping systems to integrate with WFTAK. On a best-effort basis, the WFTAK team works with member agencies to integrate any external systems that are relevant to wildland fire operations using this server.
The server is focused on converting and importing near real-time location data to WFTAK from internal (WFTAK positions) and external sources, including but not limited to: automated vehicle location (AVL), NIFC ArcGIS Online data, WildCad responder information, and mapping data. Data conversions are operated on a per-channel basis. This ensures data stays in the custody of the agency who owns it. Contact the WFTAK team at dart@firenet.gov to learn more about this capability.
The WFTAK team will develop new integrations on a best-effort basis and free of charge to WFTAK member agencies.
The following integrations are currently being utilized within WFTAK:
ArcGIS Feature Services - data can be written from ArcGIS and viewed in TAK, and TAK user locations can be written to ArcGIS for viewing in ESRI products.
